When the shadows are long and dark and objects are backlit; when a certain texture or line appears; when the breeze moves a flower; when a women stares, a child laughs or a couple share a smile, that's when I like being a photographer.
I have been pursueing "the moment" for 30+ years and I know that if you are reading this you also know the grand feeling. And more, the "what if" question in my head that makes me take the film back to the darkroom to play.
I use film, black and white and color and digital capture. My film cameras are Olympus OM1 and OM2n, Holga, Yashika twin-lens reflex and a Hassalblad. My digital cameras are a Nikon D80 and Olympus Stylus TG4.
My other interests are metalsmithing, gardening, hiking, reading, dancing, old movies, laughing with friends and family and all art.
I am an artist and art saves me.
